  • We will use this opportunity for you to ask questions about my practice and for us to explore whether my practice might be a good fit for you.

  • Initial appointment is 60 minutes and includes review of treatment goals, intake questionnaire, nutritional and lifestyle factors, detailed personal and family mental and physical health history, and review of any available previous records or labs. We will begin to explore root causes of suffering, which may include biological causes, lifestyle factors, responses to trauma and attachment history, loss and stressors, as well as a call to resolve inner and outer conflicts. We will consider laboratory screening for underlying medical issues that may be contributing to symptoms and begin initial discussion of treatment options. Treatment plans are customized and may include nutritional and lifestyle recommendations, psychotherapy, evidence-based complementary therapies, and, if desired, a discussion of the pros and cons of medications and supplements.

    I believe that people should have the chance to see if they would like to work with me in treatment. I often waive the initial consultation if we decide our work together will not be helpful.

  • Ongoing therapy appointments or medication follow-up combined with talk therapy appointments are scheduled for 50 minutes. The path of exploration, self-discovery and healing is unique to each person and situation. My approach is collaborative and tailored to your needs. My therapy style is informed by Internal Family Systems, psychodynamic, attachment and somatic approaches as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

  • If you are doing well on medications, working with an outside therapist, and need a check-in for refills or minor changes in your treatment plan, then appointments could be transitioned to 25-minute sessions if preferred.

I am out-of-network with insurance plans and do not accept Medicare. If you have a PPO plan, you may be eligible for reimbursement from your insurance company for out-of-network services. I can provide you with a detailed invoice that you may submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.
