“We go through life. We shed our skins. We become ourselves.”

- Patti Smith

I am a board-certified psychiatrist with over 15 years of experience working in diverse academic and community settings, including outpatient clinics, Consult-Liaison Psychiatry, Graduate Student Health, Psychiatric Emergency Services as well as being selected to serve as a member of The Physician Well-Being Committee for The Northern California Permanente Medical Group.

I have experienced first-hand the limits of addressing mental health in settings where clinicians are not given the time or autonomy to provide deeply thoughtful care and clients are not given the attention they deserve. This private practice is a return to what drew me to psychiatry - attending to the whole person, to what gives our lives meaning, and bringing compassion and deep respect to the unfolding of everyone’s unique journey.

I am a mother of two, have practiced yoga regularly for the past 25 years, and enjoy gardening and hiking with family, close friends, and my dog. I lived and practiced in the Bay Area for 15 years before moving to Philadelphia in 2020. I am a co-adventurer on this path of learning to tune in, open up, and trust my own GPS.
